CEO

Robert Malta, Owner and President of NYCRG, built his career on a strong work ethic shaped by his mother, Dina, who immigrated from Sicily and worked multiple jobs as a single parent to support their family. From a young age, Robert spent time in her workplaces, learning the value of perseverance and responsibility. During high school and college, he balanced his studies with jobs as a dishwasher and server, gaining early, hands-on experience in the restaurant industry.

In 1988, Robert opened his first bar and restaurant, facing and overcoming early challenges that strengthened his resilience. After graduating in 1990, he launched his first successful restaurant in partnership with his mother, laying the foundation for his future in hospitality. His journey reflects a lifelong dedication to hard work, family, and building a lasting presence in the industry.
