Mauro Chiappe is a Service Manager at NYCRG, bringing a lifetime of rich hospitality experience rooted in his Italian heritage. Originally from Genoa, Italy—the historic hometown of Christopher Columbus—Mauro began his career studying hospitality and culinary arts in Rome before embarking on work with renowned cruise lines, including the Italian Line and the celebrated Home Line.

After moving to New York in the late 1970s, Mauro built an impressive career working in some of the city’s most notable Italian venues throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He later went on to open and successfully operate several eateries of his own, further establishing his reputation in the industry.

Today, Mauro brings his decades of experience, strong character, and deep industry knowledge to his role at NYCRG, where he works alongside longtime friends and ownership. Known for his candid personality and enduring passion for hospitality, he continues to lead with authenticity, humor, and a genuine love for the craft.
